NL Hold'em: Analyzing Your General Stats
by Ivar Abusdal, Aug 3, 2008
In this article I will talk about some of the most common leaks a lot of No-Limit Hold’em players have. You should note that for some of the stats to be relevant, you should have a quite large sample-size of hands. The article is written with 6-max cash games in mind. When I evaluate concrete stats, the conclusions are based on empirical data from large databases. This means that they will tell you what kind of stats most big winners at mid-stakes (200NL-1000NL) tend to have, not necessarily what is “correct”. As you understand a strong player can therefore have stats outside the ranges I give.

Many of them have developed a feel for it over time, but I have never seen anybody write or talk about it in any depth.
