Once you have tested the water through
WritersCafe.org
; felt more comfortable with writing and having others read your work in general, you can move onto other venues that pay you for your work. A novel idea, right… pun intended.
There are countless websites that will pay for simple articles that are about a page long. Some of these great sites follow:
- Triond.com
- associatedcontent.com
- helium.com
- payperpost.com
Triond.com is a site that allows anyone to publish writing pieces that cover a wide array of subjects. You can pretty much publish anything from poetry to short stories to great tips or thoughts you would like to share with others. They pay their writers an on-going residual for life. Your articles will make money forever and be placed in the top search engines like Google.com and many others. The payment is based on viewer hits on your articles and their system allows you to monitor your daily views and earnings. Though the payment takes time to accumulate, it is a great way for beginning writers to see their work published, receive reader comments and ratings, and start earning something for their words.
I personally love and utilize Triond.com as much as possible. I see it as putting money in the bank that will slowly accumulate interest for the rest of my life. Within Triond.com you are also able to view the most popular writers. It is quite possible your name will be the most listed among them from time to time. You can even view the hottest tags that will help improve the number of those viewing your articles.
Associated Content is another great site that I have published some articles to as well. This site allows users to add pictures to their articles, while Triond.com will assign their own pictures. This site pays writers approximately $5-$20 per article on a one time basis. You also have the choice to publish your work exclusively or non-exclusively. You can submit articles of any topic. This site also allows you to refer other writers to the site for approximately a $5 referral reward every time a new writer signs up through your referral code. This can add up quickly!
The other two sites also offer payment per article submission. I started on Helium.com, but prefer the first two. On Helium.com you first submit an article under a topic and then you must rate the other articles that are already written in that subject. Once you have read and rated all the other articles then the submitting process is complete. It is nice because you get the opportunity to see where you article stands in the ratings against other articles; however, I prefer the straightforward, write and submit process.
I am not too familiar with PayPerPost.com, but do know that it is another website that offers writers another publication and compensation avenue. Stay tuned for more!
