Work is controlling our lives
Work is important, because it is a necessity. We need work to survive and live a life that is comfortable, not just for ourselves, but also for our families as well. Without work, not many people will make too far, we need money, because money helps take care of the necessary stuff, like food, clothing, housing, and education, so no wonder why people think work is important. But these are not the only reasons why work may be important. Work is also important because it what keeps some of us busy, you think about it there are people out there that actually love their jobs or that just like to work most of the time. For some people, this is their free time. Nothing may not satisfy them more than doing a job that he or she may love to do.
Now there are some people out there that think that work is more important than leisure time, even if they do not like their jobs. The problem with that is that it can cause a lot of stress to a person, which is not good, let alone not healthy either. Now work do play a huge part in each and everyone of us, because it’s how we get by like I said before, but many people forget that spare time and leisure should also play a huge role in our lives, this is the time to do what we want to do other than working. This will be the time to spend with family and friends, this is the time to have fun, this is the time to connect with our inner selves, and finally it is the time to not be stressful about business all of the time. It seems like now and days we put work before anything else, instead of putting ourselves first. What I mean by that is we need to start concentrating on all the things that we individuals want to do in life, you even have some people out there that put there work before their own families, which is not really good at all. It is true that work is something that we have to do at some point or another and there is no getting around that, but it is not the only thing either.
Believe it or not we have to have our free time as well, and I mean free time, not only not working but free time where we are not even thinking about work either. Too much stress can cause a lot of problems, a lot of risky problems at that. Too many people have early deaths just because they have had too much stress. Why would people waste their lives away doing but work or thinking about work, it’s just a big waste to have that type of mindset, whatever happen to the saying “Live your life like it’s the last?” meaning we all have a right to enjoy our lives, to have our inner self to be free.
At one point in time I used to think that work is so controlling over my life, reason being is because I used to think that money is the main and only factor to surviving in life, we need money to put a little bit of food in our mouths, we need it to have some type of clothing on our bodies, we also need it just to have some type of shelter. Then I thought about it. As long as I am doing my job right and how I am supposed to do it, why would I need to worry about anything at all, there wouldn’t be anything to worry about. Besides if people only do work, or even think about work all of the time, then it’s like having their freedom taken away from them.
