Preparing a wedding can be very tedious but then you would feel better when your guests inform you that you have a very romantic and organized wedding. Sounds great right? Well….I have never experience this but it's great to know also and I want to share this to everyone.
First, you need to make a list of the things that you need for you to prepare for the wedding: venue, groom wear, jewelry like ring, bride's wedding dress and also for bride's maids, décor, florist, gifts, planner, car rental, caterer, photography, video, cake and wine.
Next is to write down the names of the guests that you're going to invite in your wedding day so that you can plan for the venue to cater your guests. It's not bad at all to canvass because this will help you in determining your need especially if you have a specific budget for this occasion. Take note that you have to make the list for all your bride's maids and groom's men too.
Venue
In choosing the venue, you have to consider the number of guests who will attend your wedding because this will consider also the number of foods that will be allocated for the day. It's more romantic to choose a venue that will match with the theme, color and decorations. There are a lot of venues to choose from: garden wedding, restaurants/hotels, beach wedding etc.
Wedding Cake and Wine
It's always best to prepare ahead of time in choosing anything for your wedding especially about cake because sometimes the ornaments needed may not be available. Color, cake topper, cost and decoration matters most and should match your theme's wedding. For wines, try not to choose a very strong wine.
Florist
Flowers always give a romantic scene at the church or the venue where the ceremony will be held. You can choose a variety of flowers and this should be on the first list that you need to canvass because some flowers are not available in each country where you are residing.
Jewelry
It's always best that couples will go together to choose the ring that they both like. Engagement ring is romantic if it's a surprise gift to the girl.
Gifts
Gifts for the guests are something that would remind them about your marriage or something special to both of the bride and groom.
Planner
Having your own planner is very expensive however if you can manage to take the responsibility, it would be great!
Car Rental
You can ask to borrow your friend's car or any of your relative who can provide this service just for that day.
Caterer
If you decide to have a caterer for the foods, make sure that they're on time, foods are great, cost is reasonable and organized.
Photography and Videography
Choose the best person to take photos for your guests and you can give recommendations of what you really want or the concept that you want for your wedding pictures.
According to the Institute of Wedding Planner that creativity is the basis of a good wedding planner. You must be able to come up with solutions for different scenarios. “Budget weddings, theme weddings, managing last-minute hiccups, dealing with wedding day disasters and more recently organizing same-gender marriages - all require creative trouble shooting. You also need to be organized and have an eye for details. For example, managing a gala event requires the ability to juggle many contractors and get things organized quickly and efficiently. The ability to network well and build relationships with wedding service providers also helps.”
