Getting Around
Traveling long distances in NY tends to be complicated. The buses (megabus.com; greyhound.com), at $75 per person each way at lowest, can be painfully expensive, and train fares (amtrak.com) are also expensive. Driving from Toronto to New York take seven hours and just cost around $65 each way (The train ride is $200 each way.)
While traveling on the highways, you can travel at 105km/h, and you could waste more time relying on trains or buses. Pick up a New York State map. The toll roads, is a better option than the free highways, which are slower and have more truck traffic.
