The Best Type of Car

There are many different types of cars (Solar, Hybrid, Electric, Air, Normal, Biomass, and hydrogen). I will compare the advantages and disadvantages to see which of these cars are truly the best to the environment.

For my I-search project, I'm researching about 7 different types of cars and I'm consulting the advantages and disadvantages of each car, the environmental effect, and the economical effect. I will visualize the cars which are the best towards the environment and the worst. This will provide the best car throughout all of the research.

First let's begin with the advantages and disadvantages of the cars.  The compressed air car is very light and has a good mileage. It also is spacious and has a good environmental effect. (Show the chart which visually shows weight of compressed air car versus the normal car). The biofuel car runs on biologically once-alive material which can be obtained through the environment.  It would drastically increase the economical growth of crops if it is used as the majority source of energy for propulsion. Although it runs on combustion which relatively in the case requires a non-renewable resource, it primarily runs on renewable sources of fuel. It still begrimes the environment through its carbon emissions which are released into atmosphere. The best biofuel which gives least amount of pollution is biofuels from cellulose (a chemical which is abundantly found in the Cell Wall of a plant cell).  Shows image comparing types of biofuels and gasoline. The normal car does not specifically have any significant advantages towards the environment. It consumes massive amounts of gasoline and is a major contributor to global warming. Many people buy normal cars which run on gasoline because they are relatively cheap and in-expensive, however, they do not realize the potential danger that these cars can cause. The mass production of these cars has exceptionally increased the price of gasoline. Show image comparing gas prices from 1996 and 2006. The hydrogen car has several advantages. It runs on an engine powered by the element hydrogen. Through process of electrolysis, the hydrogen is extracted and breaks the hydrogen bond of the water molecule.  However, hydrogen is extremely flammable and is dangerous.

The cars also have to be specialized in helping people and affordable. The solar car is expensive and isn't spacious. The normal car can be cheap and have enough space to suit a family. The hydrogen car can be expensive and won't be in the market until for a few years. The compressed air car costs 16,900, can fit 6 people, and will be in the market soon. The hybrid car is less expensive than the solar car, can fit the same number as a normal car, and can be bought from a car retailer. The biofuel car is cheap, can fit a family, and can be bought in continents such as Europe and Asia. The cars also have to have a good mileage. Shows image chart of mileage. The car with the best mileage is the solar car because it gets a massive amount of mileage on solar energy, however, it's overall efficiency is low.

Furthermore, the cars will need a good environmental effect. The normal car pollutes the environment tremendously because of the gasoline it consumes. The biofuel also releases carbon dioxide in the atmosphere even though it runs on a renewable resource. The solar car doesn't pollute the environment since it runs ultimately on the sun's superior energy. The hydrogen car also doesn't pollute the environment because it runs on water. The hybrid car pollutes the environment less than the normal car. The compressed air car doesn't pollute the environment.

Based on this analysis, we can say that the best car towards having the least disadvantages is the compressed air car. The car which has the best in economy is the compressed air car. The car with the best environmental effect is the solar car. Therefore, we can say that the best car is the compressed air car.
