Adopting Change, Keeping it precious

An advice piece based on discovery of the self when faced with difficult challenges in life.

To experience an overwhelming sense of greatness when we not only create change, adopt it into our lives, work painfully or painlessly to maintain 'liking' it daily, brings us to a loving position within ourselves first & foremost. A position where we can truly enjoy being solitudinal with who and what we really are. More than the mother, more than the father, the lover, the employer/ employee, the parent, the teacher, the doctor/nurse, etc. These are ego-restrictive titles society renders to its community members.

Step outside of the individuality for a moment and take a Borg outlook. Ok Star Trek lovers and followers, you are with me on this. The Borg assimilated everything but basically knew nothing. It had a purpose of following the commands of 'One' who expected a unification principle be achieved at all cost. The victim of this powerful mind game was reduced to an emotionless position, numbed for eternity by a 'greater good'. But the 'greater good' was twisted, contorted and molded by the "One' who disrespected the law of the Universe. We are one when it counts to fix a dangerous series of events from turning into an all-out annihilation of the planet-- here the Collective, the unification of efforts is deemed necessary BUT in all other respects, individuality is what makes us and this planet we live on unique.

I went to a new place within myself that accepts change better than it did last year. Was it the hormones, the dreams, the ego-spirit clash or my own personal ignorance and fear keeping me from experiencing the true beauty of the life before me with new avenues to travel.

I've known Erica since high school. She was full of life and as wacko then as she is now. The question is "What are you trying to say?" When, in fact the word "try" means to fail. Just for once, one time, would say or write something that has a profound effect on someone’s life? I would be overwhelmed with joy! Erica was and still is in her own wild and wacky world. She is stuck in a Partrige family bus, riding high on her stream of conscious writing. I will say this; she is one of the most sexual, sensual people I have ever met! Perhaps her intellect is so above the norm that a typical human can not make sense of her words. Do you agree?
