Graffitio is an awesome application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that connects you with people who are currently in or who have previously visited your location.
Using Apple's location technology, your device pinpoints your location. You can then view “walls” that other people have created based on where you are. For example, if I am at the mall, I may see a wall named “Arizona Mills Mall” or “Old Navy”. (You can also create a new wall with the name of your choice).
Its interesting to see what you find out there! While at the mall I saw that someone was excited about buying more RAM for their laptop last week. I also met someone who was passing by my house and found my wall.
Of course, if you just want to talk with the world, there is also the infinite wall. This is accessible by anyone, regardless of their location.
So next time you're out in the middle of nowhere, create a wall and say “I was here”. Next time you are in the area, look back and see if anyone else discovered your own personal wall!
