Types of AT&T Cell Phones

There are so many different types of cell phones today that it can be confusing when you try to decide which one is for you. Here are a few AT&T phones that I have researched. It's amazing what phones can do today, other than helping you be able to talk to a friend or loved one.

There are many different types of cell phones out there with so many different things you can do with them that it’s a wonder if we have to do anything for ourselves when we have one! It wasn’t that long ago that the only people who had cell phones were doctors. These days almost everyone has one. Teens are hardly caught anywhere without one and to take their phone away as a punishment renders them virtually helpless!

AT&T is one of the leading companies who carry cell phones. I have listed a few of their different types of cell phones and the features they carry.

One of AT&T’s most popular phones today is the RAZR phone. It comes in a variety of colors and styles. It has many different features such as cameras, camcorders, Multimedia and Web browsing. They also come with mobile music and video and some even have MP3 players. Of course you can text message with these phones which is a must have for teenagers! You can also check your email messages with these phones and if you have time, you can surf the web! Of course these sleek and stylish phones have the ever-popular Bluetooth feature! They also have SD memory card slots so you can put your own digital pictures and media on your phone if you like.

Another AT&T phone is the LG Shine. These phones have a mirror finish. I’m sure everyone has seen the commercial of the guy being caught using his LG Shine phone to sneak a peek at a pretty girl as she passes him. Other than using this phone to be a “peeping Tom” or actually to make a phone call with them, they have cameras and camcorders built in to them. Of course the ever-popular text messaging is available as well. This phone has the microSD memory card support with a whopping 4GB capability. They come in many stylish colors and have Internet and email access on them. Some even have World connectivity and quad-band connectivity. From what I have seen, they have 2.0 MP on the cameras which will take a better quality picture than some phones especially if you get a really good picture you want to make a copy of. LG Shine cell phones also have Bluetooth features on them.

Next there are the Blackberry families from AT&T. They are the Blackberry Pearl and the Blackberry Curve. Both have cameras and camcorders and email viewers on them. If you need to keep constant check on your computer but have to get away too, this is a good choice for you. Both have the Bluetooth features and they both have GPS on them. The Blackberry Curve has a QWERTY keyboard on it and is fully loaded. You can find out which one better suits your needs on the AT&T website.

Another AT&T phone is the Sony Ericsson collection. These phones allow you to change songs with a shake! They have FM radios and MP3 players built in to them. Text messaging is also a must have feature of this phone. Some of them have cameras and camcorders and can surf the web and check your email. You can also find Sony Ericsson phones with Bluetooth features.

Motorola is the next AT&T phone we will look at. You can find these phones with cameras and camcorders built in them along with microSD memory slots--up to 2GB support. Some Motorola phones have quad-band connectivity as well. Some have MP3 players and of course Bluetooth stereo features.

Our next phone to look at is the Samsung Blackjack. Some features of these phones are Windows Mobile 2 and MS Office Mobile. They have 2.0 MP cameras and camcorders built in on them. You can find them with Windows Media Player 10, Video Share, and even GPS turn by turn directions! Some styles of Samsung Blackjack phones have full QWERTY and come fully loaded. You can browse the Web and capture images or video with these phones. Bluetooth wireless connectivity is also available for Samsung Blackjack phones.

This next AT&T phone is the Palm Centro. It has a huge 2.2” touchscreen with handwriting recognition. The camera and camcorder on this type of cell phone are 1.3 MP and they have microSD card slot with a maximum of 4GB. Palm Centro has QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth features. Also comes with PocketTunes and much more.

Finally, the last cell phone I thought was interesting was the Firefly. This is a Cingular phone and is made for kids. It is really important in today’s world that children are able to stay in contact with their parents--especially in case of emergency. If this thought scares parents because they have heard the horror stories about cell phone bills that are sky high, then this is the answer. It only has 5 keys on it and two are dedicated to calling mom and dad only. This way if you aren’t home, your child can call a second number and reach you in an emergency. Parents are in full control of who their children call with this phone.

As I have stated earlier, there are many different types of cell phones. I chose AT&T’s company to write about their different types of phones. There are many more phones that AT&T carries and many more cell phone companies out there. These are some interesting ones I researched and found. I didn’t realize phones did so much. You don’t ever have to wait for a phone call again! You can even read your messages if you are in meeting or in class! I would like to advise you not to check or send messages while you drive though as this could change not only your life, but an innocent person’s as well. All and all, phones have come a long way. If you would like to buy one, I suggest you research them carefully so you will pick the one that is right for you or your child.
