Sprint: The Phone Company From the Abyss!

Why Sprint sucks so much, read this before you become entangled in their horrible customer service, and if its too late for you, may God be with you.

Ok, so if you've been living in the US, especially around where I do (I am told not to disclose personal information or bad people will come to my house and do bad things to me) but I will give you a hint-it's the fourth largest city in the US, also probably still the fattest. Anyway, you may have noticed a huge influx of black and yellow signs taking over shopping strips with the words SPRINT on them. Now I have no problem with having a number of stores that competes with that of walmart's but how can one possibly have that much, and still have one of the worst customer service records in all of mankind's history. So some people may be, come on buddy, COME ON BUDDY, their service cannot be that bad. Well, I have a statistic that says otherwise. MSN's Customer Service Hall of Shame claims that 40% of Sprints 53 million customers would happily take their business elsewhere. Now I may not me a math whiz, but that is a lot of people! All you have to do is google “Sprint horror stories” and you will be as appalled as I was, in fact, I invite you to take some free time and look into it, you will be amused, disturbed, and perplexed; you will be on the edge of your seat until you fall off the edge of your seat.

Does your phone drop calls when it has full bars, well mine does, and here is MY sprint horror story.

It all started 8 years ago, my parents got a sprint contract; I personally have been with the company for about 2.5 years. Though I cannot go in to detail, I'll tell you that Sprint has such a blatant disregard for their customers, it's shocking. When my sister and I where added to the plan, 10 bucks a month each and 2 free sucky phones, my parents where like, wow, what a bargain. Little did they know the treacherous road filled with false bills and charges that lay ahead. In the next bill, they were charged not $20 for me and my sister, but over 10 times that much, as if the “add a line for just $10” was non existent. Well, they hurried to the nearest Sprint PCS phone and called sprint…little did they know that they will spend countless hours on the phone AND BE CHARGED FOR EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT! Ok so after blood, sweat, and tears, we managed to clear things up…little did we know that we had to go through the same ordeal EVERY MONTH for 3 MONTHS! What kind of company needs reminders from its customers?

A few months after that finally cleared, we were suddenly slapped with a bill of over $600. Well that was a no-no so my father called in, was put on hold for a whole episode of NOVA and 2 of our phones (the landlines) died! In the end we threatened to leave, and that got one of the supervisors talking to us and finally getting things straightened out, but yet again, we would have to go through the same thing for the next few months. Now, 2 years ago we signed a new contract (their customer service might suck like a Hoover, but our plan is pretty good, it doesn't even exist anymore, and they have tried every two years to get us to change plans…hahaha SUCKERS!) and got one of those “free with new 2yr activation” phones. This is utterly ridiculous, THEY BILLED US FULL PRICE AND SAID WE NEED A MAIL-IN-REBATE! AND YOU KNOW THE WORST PART, THEY PULL ONE OF THOSE “leave us your number and we'll get back to you” AND GUESS WHAT, THEY NEVER DO!

Well, needless to say, when my contract ends in 2 months, I'm taking my hard earned money elsewhere. Sprint has no customer loyalty, 8 years, and we're still treated like dirt. They have a blatant disregard for their customers, and their customer service is so bad you have to experience it to believe it, and it is something I would not wish on my worst enemy, well, maybe. When it's all said and done, Sprint is the most un-patriotic, un-caring, and apathetic company in the US. And if you think their customer service is bad, do some research and see how they treat their employees. RIDICULOUS!
