Sending and receiving emails may not be available but then you do not need it much anyway. However, if you do need to send and receive messages on your mobile phone from internet sites, a cheap mobile phone probably won't be any good.

Another option available to you is if you can find a reasonable monthly mobile phone plan, then you may not need to look for a cheap model at all. Various network companies offer this type of mobile phone plan promotions and you may decide to take advantage of owning a good quality phone. You could kiss that basic phone goodbye if this sort of package becomes available.
It doesn't matter what you intend to purchase, the internet is a great place to research, compare and find what you are looking for plus you will usually find whatever you want within the budget you set for yourself.
