Nowadays, laptops have been increasingly been used because of its portability and convenience. It also because of its required space that people are interested in them. In this article, i will review on the LG R405 laptop that i recently bought.
Pros
First of all, this laptop have its own individual graphic card which means you can switch out the video card. The graphic card of this laptop is shown at the description. With this laptop, you can play the lastest games and use high powered programs like 3d studio max and many others. Basically, this can be use as a gaming laptop and i am sure this will appeal to many hardcore gamers given the specifications. As you can see from the decrisption, this laptop have one of the fastest processor that a laptop can have.
The 800MHz DDR 2 & Dual Channel Support means that you can open 30-40 over windows at a time and the laptop will pose little lag. Even though this is quite a redundant feature for most of us but when it come to doing projects, it will serve you well.
The bluetooth program used here is also the fastest. This means that you can send things to and fro your laptop and handphones in no time.
The keypad itself is very clicky and fat which means most of us can type faster and more accurately. There are also many control buttons you can use that is available on your kaypad. These features range from disabling your touch pad to even controlling what type of fan you want (normal/cooling/silent fanning). There is also this fun feature where you can make a certain parameter around your mouse to be zoomed in.
Cons
Firstly, about the many controls you can use on your kaypad. This not be of good use for new users as there is no individual button for certain feature like the wireless. Many starters complained that they could not enable their wireless as they could not find their wireless enabling button. Thus, this is not a really user-friendly laptop.
The scroll button from the touchpad is also quite limited. While using windows like the internet, the scroll function can only allow user to scroll down but not up though this works fine in windows like words and powerpoint.
Other than that, the LG R405 laptop is actually a cool laptop for all though it may appeal more to gamers. However, if you are looking for a user friendly laptop, this is not the one for you.
