If you've ever been on a long trip you know that an iPod running out of batteries is devastating. To make sure you get the most out of your iPod's battery life here are five great tips.
Keep the backlight off when you don't need it.
The easiest way to do this is by setting the backlight timer to 2 seconds or off. I recommend "2 seconds" because with "off" you will need a light to see the screen in the dark.Leave your iPod in something that recharges it when not in use.
If you do this you will have it fully charged whenever you grab it.Keep the volume low.
You won't use as much battery.Bring a laptop with you.
Connecting your iPod to a laptop while you're on a trip will increase the iPod's battery while draining the laptop's. This works as long as you don't need to use the laptop on the trip.Make sure you turn off your iPod when you're done.
This is probably the most common way to end up with an iPod that won't turn on. When you're done with the iPod press and hold the play/pause button until the screen goes black.
