Eventually, your cell phone will get wet if you like it or not. Forgot about it in your pants pocket while doing the laundry? Accidentally dropped your cell phone in the toilet? That is gross.
Don't fret, chances are good that you can save the cell phone. The main factor is react quickly.
Here's What To Do:
- Remove the cell phone from the water as quick as possible.
- Take the battery off to ensure no electrical current while order is inside the phone.
- Carefully shake at the water out of the phone using large downwards arm movements.
- Lightly use paper towels to absorb excess water.
- Repeat steps three and four until water is no longer visible on the phone.
- Allow both the cell phone and battery to dry overnight. Warning: Don't use your oven as a heat source. This type of heat may cause the battery to explode.
If after 24 hours your cell phone still has water in it, allow another day to dry. Hopefully, by the second day of your cell phone mishap, the phone would be back to working order.
