Bluetooth News: 30 Kilometer Distance

Yes, that's wright - 30 kilometers!

Company Wireless Cables Inc. (WCI), which has much experience with Bluetooth technology, has announced its newest creation - USB Bluetooth adapter, which can send and get signals from a distance of 30 kilometers (about 18,64 miles). Product's name is "The Aircable Host XR". The new device is connected to a computer into USB 1,2 or 2,0 and it can work in Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Most of USB adapters can work only in 10 meters, which is more than enough to send files from a mobile phone into a computer in the same room. Having 30 kilometer USB adapter people could get Skype calls and in a distance control their computers.

But antenna, which can be found with this amazing USB adapter can work only in 1 kilometer (0,6 mile). If we'll want to get a maximum of 30 kilometers, we'll have to connect other antenna, which will need professional's hands to get installed.

The new "The Aircable Host XR" Bluetooth adapter will cost 129$.
