What is an iPhone?
Phone is a touch-screen music mobile phone. It can be called as a cell-phone -Ipod media player. To an extent, Apple is following a trend that has been talked about for years and Iphones entry in the market is proof of support that convergence is real.
The idea of Phone came from the fact that when you use a multi function cell phone, you need to use multiple buttons, use the keypad multiple times. Apple removed this difficulty by bringing the Phone.
They sheared off the entire front and replaced it with a huge, bright, vivid screen. When you need to dial, it shows you a keypad, when you need other buttons, the screen puts them up. When you want to watch a video, the buttons disappear.Suddenly,the interface becoming fluid and molten.Software replaces hardware.
Into the Iphone,Apple's engineers have stuffed a working version of Apple's operating system OS X.The phone could handle real applications like Web browsers and e-mail clients.

Three antennas are there fore cell phone,Wi-Fi and Blue tooth.
Sensors
A group of sensors are used whether it should display vertically or horizontally.And this sensors decide when it should turn off the touch -screen.
Who is the designer?
Jonathan Ive, who designed the Imac and Ipod designed Iphone.The design makes Iphone Austere and ergonomic.
Consumer interface is greatly enhanced in iphone.In voice mail,all messages are laid out vishually.if you want to hear one,just touch it.for a simple call too,a big friendly icon appears on that huge screen.if a second call comes in while you are talking,another icon appears.Tap that second icon and you switch to the second call.
What are the negative remarks?
The flaws ae business flaws,technology flaws and pricing flaws.
You can't download songs directly onto the iPhone but you have to export them from a computer.Even though Wi-Fi and Blue tooth on it we cannot connect Iphone with computer wirelessly.It doesn't have games on it.
It does not support third party applications.
Then pricing,is another crucial issue.The phone will cost $499 for a 4 GB model ,$599 for 8GB which makes it a luxury items.
The Iphone is a defensive product. It is mainly designed to protect the Ipod, which is facing stiff competition from mobile manufacturers adding music players to their handsets.
