Sexy Thongs or Gagging Wrongs

This is about our sagging values and moral decline in the way we have begun to dress in public for acceptance.

There is something wrong with thong underwear glaring out of the top of a pair of jeans. Maybe it is sexy on the few girls who have killer bodies that scream for attention, but that doesn't make it right to bare all in public for the sake of whistles and bug-eyed males. Thongs are meant to enhance, to be sure, the body that is fit for such clothing. But enhance obviously takes on a whole different meaning in today's dictionary of society.

When is too Little too Much?

Fat rolls may be sexy for certain people. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I confess to not having that perfect “Barbie doll” figure myself. But at least the extra body weight I do have remains respectfully covered for my own sense of decency rather than a source for public gags, and that can be taken two ways if you get my drift. It is disturbing no matter whether you have a body to be proud of at any weight. Admittedly, too-thin women have no more reason to flaunt their thongs than overweight women. Exposed fat rolls create an unwanted attention to a body already struggling for a comfort zone, whether it's a physical or a mental struggle. It's like yelling at people to find more fault when too little shows too much.

Sexy is as Sexy Does

Yes, bigger bodies may very well be sexy in their own right. But there is something to be said about dressing to enhance your look regardless of your size. If you want to be seen as sexy, you should dress to play up your best features, your best assets, your best color combinations, and your comfort level in your clothing choices. You can't force people to think of you as sexy just because you allow a thong to hang out of your jeans. This is where a sexy thong could very well be just a gagging wrong.

Beauty Begins on the Inside

The old saying about beauty beginning on the inside of a person holds a lot of weight. Even a person who might first be thought of as beautiful can become ugly quickly with the wrong attitude. You aren't beautiful overall just because you dress in certain clothing. Beauty can make a person glow from the inside out. It is seen in the aura around that person. They draw people to them and create a feeling of comfort with their personalities and their inner charm.

Dressing for Success

Dressing just to gain acceptance is never the right path to follow. Success lies in much more than just the clothes a person buys and wears. It's not in the designer who created that line of clothing or the store that sold the clothes. It's not in the price tag. Dressing for acceptance also means dressing to enhance your personality, your inner beauty, and dressing for the occasion.

You are soooo right. I hate this fad of letting it all hang out. Some of it should be hidden and some of it was not meant to be shown to everyone. Women are sexier if they hide more and make you wonder. After awhile looking at a half naked body grows boring.

I need to order a pair of Nike Dunks to my son. They are usually over 100 dollars on any other webiste, but for some reason they are only 59.99 here, along with many other shoes that are very expensive that are marked way down. I was wondering if you knew if they were a legitimate website that sold authentic shoes. You can take at www.kickplaza.com In advance,.MSN :kickplaza.aren@hotmail.com

I am a male and you have caught my attention. I have to weigh in on this subject. So many women today are obsessed with looking like prostitutes, thinking all men (and women in some cases) are turned on just looking at them. A lot of it is competition out of control (keeping up with the other girl); a lot of it is caused by the media (everything has a sexual twist to it today), and much of it is just simply exhibitionism. I remember when just seeing some leg was a real turn on. (Oh by the way, I am a very sensual guy, so now since I have revealed this, on with my comment.) You said it right. The more woman show, overtime, the less sexy they are. There is no room for imagination. I think thongs are very unappealing, no matter what size a woman is. I have many friends who agree with me. To me, seeing the top of a thong above a woman\'s jeans is not much different than seeing the top of a man\'s shorts, both are unappealing. It\'s similar to a \"tramp Stamp.\" A woman is most sexy being herself and not trying to look like she is trying to reveal all she has. A woman who wears simple clothing, like skirts and dresses or decently worn jeans and blouses, with very little to no make-up, and with her hair naturally falling is very sexy. If I ever am previleged to see her undies (grin), just simple, white undies that fit well would be a turn on. Thongs would turn me off. Oh yes, let me say something about dressing sexy in the corporate world. Women who dress as if they want to attract men in a sexual way are thought to be loose and dumb. I have worked in an office setting for some time and I can tell you, in most cases, the women who advance are the ones who dress neatly and keep things covered up. So there, you have a male\'s perspective.
