After finding out about this, I was very surprised. You know those small batteries that are used in calculators and watches and sometimes you can also find them in laser pointers and some small remote controls? They are also usually a high price and every time you buy one, you cringe at the fact that your spending about 5 dollars for a small little battery?
Well, using a normal 12 volt battery that you would find at stores such as RadioShack, BestBuy, or Circuit City, such as the one below, You can do something amazing. They are usually pretty cheap. I bought a pack of four for about $4.29. They can sometimes be a little hard to find, but most electronics stores carry them or another type of 12 volt battery.
If you cut one of these batteries down the side, and peel back the outside to the battery, you wont find tons of battery acid oozing onto your hands. Instead, you'll find 8 of those small watch and calculator batteries that I had mentioned before. Here they all are.
This cool little hack is very useful and can save you about $40.00! I bet you never believed that you were getting ripped off by every battery company known to man. Always be careful when working with batteries and always be sure that you are using a 12 volt A23 Battery. They may be the same size as an AA Battery, but using the wrong battery will result in injury. Battery acid can burn your flesh if it comes in contact with your skin. Thanks for reading this article.
