Tom Cruise was born on July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, New York. Started his life in poverty without support of father, he changed fifteen schools in twelve years. He once wanted to become a Catholic priest when he was in school. His acting career started with his acting in a drama in his high-school.
He played teen roles in the beginning. It is in 1983, with movie ‘Risky Business’ that he got famous to play in lead roles. He received Academy award for Oliver’s Stone’s ‘Born on the Fourth of July’. In 1996, he starred and produced the famous movie ‘Mission Impossible’.
Tom became the first actor in history to star in five consecutive movies which grossed minimum of $100 million. It is because of this that he is considered to be the most successful actors in Hollywood. Later he starred in ‘Mission Impossible II’, ‘The Last Samurai’ and ‘War of the Worlds’. He was ranked and published in many magazines. Recently he starred the third, ‘MI III’, of the ‘Mission Impossible’ series.
He married and divorced Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. Presently his spouse is Katie Holmes. He married her recently and got his third child who was first child for Holmes.
