I couldn't possibly list everything that my great uncle is in one page or even a book, but I can try.
My uncle Dean is a stern man with many life lessons to teach, he is a great storyteller, a lifesaver, he writes novels, he is very supportive, he is an expert hunter and trapper, and is probably the most influential person in my life.
The novel he wrote that I have in my house on my bookshelf is about his experiences with making and using black powder in Alaska, where his brother, Denny, lives. My Uncle lives in Minnesota where his mother and father lived and died (1913-2004). He owns a few horses and bout 300 acres for them to graze; he also owns chickens and guinea hens.
He was once walking through a city at night when he heard a woman screaming for help in a nearby alley and he looked and saw an attempt at rape. He quickly jumped into action and the two assaulters quickly ran off, leaving him and the woman who he quickly helped to the hospital. For some reason the woman he helped ended up suing him for not getting there early enough.
She lost the case.
Another way he is a lifesaver is he works at a hospital as a registered nurse. My uncle will try anything once, as long as it is legal and non-toxic. He traps turtles and frogs, and almost everything else he is allowed to trap native to Minnesota. He is very supportive to me because I am his favorite (if not only) great nephew and am very attentive to everything he says, almost to the letter. He is a very nice man.
