My French Assignment

A bit about the world famous mime from France.

Marcel Marceau was born in 1923, and died in 2007. His real name was Marcel Mangel and was performing even in his eighties. He had started performing in 1946. He played a made up character "Bip The Clown."He was awarded the 2007 times person of the year and his own foundation. He has many classics including "The Cage", "Walking Against The Wind", "The Mask Maker" and "In The Park". His cause of death is unknown. He used to work in the army with his brother during World War II in the "Free French Forces" unit because he was a Jew and he thought that would help him survive.
