Gia:1960-1986 Rest in Peace

A tribute to Gia Marie Carangi, the model Simply known as Gia, who left this world way too soon.

A couple months back I did a movie review of the film Gia, I thought at first it was fairly accurate, but after much research I decided to print this retraction of that assessment. Angelina Jolie's portrayal of Gia was very slanderous to the real woman that was known and Loved by her family and friends.

Gia's own mother stated in a phone interview that the movie was based on misconception.

I believe that if people are going to make "tributes" they should at least get things accurate.

Janice Dickinson talked of Gia in a talk show interview, I saw an interview with people that loved Gia and it was very poignant.

In printing this new article, I am doing my best to do justice to Gia's true Legacy.

Gia's life was one of intrigue, hard lessons, tragedy, and untimely demise.

However, despite her flaws, Gia Marie Carangi's life carries with it a reminder that all the glitz and glamour is a facade,

That's something Gia noted herself in her final days, although her illness made her weak, I still believe she had a strong heart. One that cared about future generations that would think of following after her. Dear readers, if you are an aspiring model, or just a woman in general, keep in mind that beauty is more than skin deep.

As a final note, I would like to dedicate this article in memory of Gia Carangi, America's first True supermodel, the reason I say first is because she was one of the first that put her heart into it.

Many models these days are just models because it is "easy money", but Gia's inspiration was different, she wanted to show the world that the beauty that really matters radiates from the soul.

I’m a man in general but by golly I know what you mean! I’m still ticked off about what they did to B’Elana!
It’s obvious that you care about what you write. I like that.

This is such an enlightenment. I always thought of reasonings; why people become and act they way they did....and in the end, only heart matters.
