Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947 in Gruz, Austria. He was a popular Austrian-American bodybuilder, actor and a politician.
In his boyhood he played many sports and discovered his passion for bodybuilding. He went to London knowing little English. He acquired a nickname ‘The Austrian Oak’ due to his large build. He became the youngest Mr. Universe at the age of 20.
He then moved to United States in 1968. He had little money and known little English. His desire was to win Mr. Olympia, greatest bodybuilder in the world. At first attempt he failed but he won Mr. Olympia in the second attempt. Then he won Mr. Olympia for seix consecutive times.
His acting career started with ‘Hercules in New York’. He initially had trouble with English and had a thick accent. Initially his words were dubbed. He came to the attention of people from the documentary ‘pumping Iron’. His most famous movies were ‘Conan the Barbarian’, ‘Conan the Destroyer’ and ‘The Terminator’. Later he acted in many successful movies and also the sequels for ‘The Terminator’.
He was elected as Governor of California on October 7, 2003. Then reelected on November 7, 2006, and had sworn in for a second term on January 5, 2007.
On December 23, 2006 he had broken his right femur while skiing in Sun Valley, Idaho during the Christmas Festive season.
