Located just outside of Ailsa Craig, Ontario, halfway between London and Grand Bend, is Shady Pines Campground. If you are looking for a campground that host both tents and trailers this is the place to be! The campground hosts a whole array of activities and amenities.
On site there is a store stocked with grocery items, beverages, candy and other items that could come in handy during your stay. Located in the same building as the store is a games room and laundry facilities. The games room consists of a pool table and a few arcade games. Also, located in the building are the showers, which can be used before or after a dip in either the normal in ground swimming pool or the wading pool. Now, if swimming or games isn't your thing, there are a few other things to check out.
Shady Pines plays host to a pond, where fishing is good and quite relaxing. The pond is also home to many Canadian geese and a few ducks. You can even see the geese and ducks sharing a pasture with the campgrounds sheep. Those aren't the only animals around though. If you take a walk down one of the many trails you can be sure to spot a chipmunk, rabbit, and who knows what else.
The campground offers many different activities on weekends. Every weekend there is a campground-wide wagon ride, or two. Saturday nights play host to bingo, both kids and adults. As well as, there are many other things that happen on weekends, including horseshoes.
Shady Pines is a five-minute drive from the town of Ailsa Craig. You are quite close to grocery stores and drug stores.
