How to predict the weather by looking up at the clouds. |
High Clouds- Cirrus - Thin, wispy streaks/mares tails - fine Weather, then rain
- Cirrocumulus - Mackerel sky/rippled sand - showers
- Cirrostratus - Amorphous cloud/halo effects - rain
Medium Clouds- Altocumulus - Dimpled heap cloud - showers
- Altostratus - Watery sun - rain
Low Clouds- Stratocumulus - Heaped layer cloud - no change
- Stratus - Amorphous layer cloud - drizzle
- Nimbostratus - Layered cloud stacked high - storm
- Cumulus - Heaped fluffy cloud - good weather
- Cumulonimbus - Fluffy cloud heaped very high - thunder storm
