Scrapbooking For Less

A few tips to help save money on scrapbooking.

Scrapbooking is a fun way to preserve and arrange all your photos. It can get pricey as well depending on your taste in decorating your scrapbook. Wether you like to buy those fancy stickers or cut out frames. And if you run out of pages and decided to add more, you also pay more money for that. And when that scrap book gets full and cant hold any more pages without exploding, you go and buy a new one. The price just adds up and adds up. There is a way to save money.

Wait for a sale on holiday stickers and decorations . You can find holiday items on sale usually after the holiday passes. If you want to buy some items that are not holiday themed, you may be better off going to another store like Dollar General instead of Walmart. It never hurts to look in other places if it can save you money. Instead of buying already made and fancy frames for your scrapbook, try making your own with construction paper. It comes in all kinds of colors and textures. If you want a specific design for frames, you could buy plain white paper and design it yourself to your desires.

There are some really nice and fancy background sheets you can also buy. Most new plastic sheets have white paper in them. You could color and design those white papers instead of buying all ready designed background sheets. If you do choose to design yourself, I recommend not using glue. Glue could run and mess up any design you make. Try using tape. Tape can be bought cheap depending on the company that made it. You may be able to find tape on sale during school supplies sales. And if you place a picture with tape and then decide you didn't want in that spot , you can carefully peel it back and place it elsewhere. You can't do that with glue.

Instead of automatically printing pictures out of the Kodiac machine at Walmart or any other location, try to use the hour long service. It usually costs about half of having them automatically printed out. You can do your other shopping while you wait for your pictures to be developed.
