Traditional Materials
The plains Indians used a rock, stick and bison/buffalo skin, (which these days is our equivalent to leather) to create their stone war club, for decoration they would use some bison/buffalo skin to tie around the handle, some animal fur/feathers and some nut shells, (these days known as beads).
Significance
Almost every Plains Indian tribe had some type of a war club, (not always made from stone, but other things like wood, etc). It is not an overly significant item for tribes because they were extremely common throughout Plains Indian times.
My Materials
Like the Plains Indians I used a rock and stick, but instead of bison/buffalo skin, I used a small strip of black leather to tie the rock on the stick and make decoration on the handle. I tied 1 bead on each side of the leather on the handle and then I ran out of leather, so I used some black shoelace instead further down the handle for more decoration.
