How to Make a T-shirt Bag

Don't throw your old or unused t-shirts. You can still create something useful and beautiful out of it.

And as a matter of fact, you can make a bag out of it without sewing, stitching and more importantly, without spending a single cent. You can create this bag for emergency or even for fashion purposes.

I have thought of this idea a few years back. One day, I was about to go out of town for a seminar. I was about to packed the things I have to bring when I noticed that my medium sized backpack is missing. I've learned from my mother that it was borrowed by my younger brother. Since the seminar is good for one day only, I only need to bring a shirt, a pair of pants, a pair of socks and few other personal things. I don't want to use my other bag because it's too big. That's how I came up with this idea.

Here are the things we need in creating a t-shirt (shoulder) bag;

  • T-shirt (any color, printed, etc)
  • a pair of scissors
  • a piece of string (a shoe lace will do)

Here's the procedure:

    1. cut the sleeves of the t-shirt
    2. inverse the t-shirt and tie the lower portion with the piece of string
    3. reverse the t-shirt

      You now have an instant bag. No sweat at all! It's absolutely free and so easy to make. One thing good about the bag, no one will ever notice that it's just made of t-shirt. My daughter would even use them some time when she goes to school. Another good thing about it, once you untie the t-shirt you can still wear it as a summer outfit. Try different colorful t-shirts, they look better. Try it and I hope you like it as well.
