Before, I don't have a scrapbook like my friends do. I love to have it. But the only problem that hinders me to have it is that I can't afford it. I mean I don't have enough money to afford the expenses to buy some materials for scrapbooking. So, I made an experiment.
I find that a clear book can be a good scrapbook because it can protect the pictures, notes and designs from such factors like water and light that can deteriorate or damage the scrapbook pages, designs, notes, and pictures. I use color papers and design it for scrapbook pages than ready made scrapbook pages. In designing the color papers I use some materials that I can found in our house such as:
- Buttons of my brother's old polo shirt
- Remaining house paint
- Cut-out pictures from old magazines, newspapers or even kindergarten books
- Papers from the puncher
- Younger sister's color pens
- Yarn
- Rags
I also make use of the Paint section of my computer and draw some designs and print it.
I bought some designs for the scrapbook in embroidery and crafts store. In there, I bought some designs cheaper than the other stores.
My experiment has a good result and I like my first and new scrapbook! Unlike those scrapbooks of my friends, my scrapbook is unique because I'm the one who made my designs and their designs are almost alike because they bought ready made designs from a same store! Buying ready made designs for the scrapbook makes you lazy because you are not the one who made it and your effort is less. It is nice to have a unique scrapbook….
