There are different makes of metal detector on the market, but I don't think there is one on the market that will just find gold. The problem appears to be that certain metallic items eg. an aluminium ring pull and a gold ring are too similar, as far as the metal detector is concerned. I don't profess to be an electronics expert, and I would love to think that some "electronics person" out there, could develop such a machine.
Maybe a gold hunting machine has already been designed and developed, and some person is keeping the secret to themselves. They could be making a fortune, and don't want anyone else to join them. It would be great to just search for gold, without digging everything else up, but I think I'd miss finding all the other non-gold objects, metal detectors find.
So if there is someone out there, who has made such a machine, please develop one for me.
