DRIVE SMOOTHLY
Even mild acceleration can result in power requirements more than three times as great as those of steady
speed cruising. Avoid "racing" starts. Over-accelerating merely delivers more fuel to the engine
than it can efficiently handle. As a result, you waste petrol.
PLAN AHEAD
If posibble do your driving in other than peak hours. Avoid traffic bottlenecks, even if it
means driving a little out of your way. Remember, a car moving freely on the road uses less
fuel than one caught in stop-go traffic.
MIND YOUR SPEED
Try to drive within your car manufacturer consumption of every litre. Normally, it is about
90km/h, if you a little bit slow, try to speed up between 90km/h to 110km/h. Your can save a little fuel
here. For other reason, drive slowly is better to save your life, and you alert with surround you.
TECHNIC FOR DRIVING
Most of drivers will panic when the car in front of you do the emergency brakes. Here is what you do,
because of your speed at about below 110km/h, you can brake smoothly before reach the car in front of
you. It is because, when you press the brake pedal to strong, the fuel become wasted because
your fuel injection is already pump the fuel.
AIRCOND FOR DRIVING
If you think that the weather is not to hot, you can always off your aircond and use the window
for air ventilation. But when you use the window, make sure you dont open the window to wide.
The wide window will effect you fuel consumption. Try to open a bit for ventilation in your car
only.
TYRES AND THE BENEFITS
Tyres also plays a big roles to reduce the fuel consumption. The right tyres will reduce your fuel consumption
at least 5%. If you use the standard tyres, make sure that the air pressure inside it is correct and
follow the car maker instructions. Normally the front tyres pressure is about 31 psi or 220 Kpa and the rear tyres
is 28 psi or 200 Kpa. Check your car maker instructions behind the front or rear door.
The fuel consumption is important to us because the fuel price always change and is never
be low. Try this tips and save the fuel for better mileage and use whther you drives a long
or short distance.
