Tips to Reduce Your Fuel Consumption

To reduce the fuel consumption, there is several ways to do it..

DRIVE SMOOTHLY

Even mild acceleration can result in power requirements more than three times as great as those of steady speed cruising. Avoid "racing" starts. Over-accelerating merely delivers more fuel to the engine than it can efficiently handle. As a result, you waste petrol.

PLAN AHEAD

If posibble do your driving in other than peak hours. Avoid traffic bottlenecks, even if it means driving a little out of your way. Remember, a car moving freely on the road uses less fuel than one caught in stop-go traffic.

MIND YOUR SPEED

Try to drive within your car manufacturer consumption of every litre. Normally, it is about 90km/h, if you a little bit slow, try to speed up between 90km/h to 110km/h. Your can save a little fuel here. For other reason, drive slowly is better to save your life, and you alert with surround you.

TECHNIC FOR DRIVING

Most of drivers will panic when the car in front of you do the emergency brakes. Here is what you do, because of your speed at about below 110km/h, you can brake smoothly before reach the car in front of you. It is because, when you press the brake pedal to strong, the fuel become wasted because your fuel injection is already pump the fuel.

AIRCOND FOR DRIVING

If you think that the weather is not to hot, you can always off your aircond and use the window for air ventilation. But when you use the window, make sure you dont open the window to wide. The wide window will effect you fuel consumption. Try to open a bit for ventilation in your car only.

TYRES AND THE BENEFITS

Tyres also plays a big roles to reduce the fuel consumption. The right tyres will reduce your fuel consumption at least 5%. If you use the standard tyres, make sure that the air pressure inside it is correct and follow the car maker instructions. Normally the front tyres pressure is about 31 psi or 220 Kpa and the rear tyres is 28 psi or 200 Kpa. Check your car maker instructions behind the front or rear door.

The fuel consumption is important to us because the fuel price always change and is never be low. Try this tips and save the fuel for better mileage and use whther you drives a long or short distance.
