Have you heard about this story of a guy who was driving to work on Highway 144 when suddenly he heard a pop right from the hood of his car, he thought it sounded like a flat tire?
Although his ride was not really affected - he pulled over, checked the tires and the surroundings. Then he opened the hood to check the motor. Before he was able to open the hood in full, he jumped back in shock and knocked his head on the partially opened hood, he could not believe what his eyes were seeing!
Nobody was going to believe this and you would not probably either! Luckily, a coworker with a camera recognized him along the side of the road and stopped to see if he could help.

Notice that the fan belt is missing and probably was pulled out because of the friction.
