Simple and creative methods to keep your car clean:
- Many windscreens have marks and scratches all over them. The best way to clean it is by applying toothpaste on a dry cloth and spreading it on the windshield in a circular motion. After that, just rinse it off. Voila, your windscreen is not only left cleaner but also smells better.
- Many times you would have noticed a black deposition of tar on your car. The tar not only damages the paint, but also makes your car look ugly. The solution. Spray a little WD-40 on a cloth and wipe the affected area with it. Your ca will be as shiny as ever.
- Sometimes the drive belts (A/C, fan, etc.) start to slip and they start making squeaky sounds. The reason can be because they have become hard. Open the bonnet and put some aerated soft drink on the belts. The sugar solution of the drink will make the belt sticky again and it will not slip again.
- If your windshield wipers get worn out and do not remove the water off the windshield properly, simply wet sand them with 400 or higher grade sand or polish paper.
- Sometimes the windshield of your car may get smeared with mud and oily deposits that is discharged by diesel trucks. Even windshield washing fluids will be unable to remove the oily layers. In order to get rid of the oily deposits add a cap full of vodka (gin or any other colorless liquor will also do) into the windscreen wisher bottle.
- Many times the color of the bumpers of cars fade due to the sunlight. Apply some shoe polish of the dame color on the bumper. Wipe off the extra with a cloth. Your bumper will shine like new.
