Gas Prices: Stretch the Gallon

The latest hype is not conservation, it is additives. There is a New gas powder on the scene. Why conserve when you can get more bang for your buck?

I was just recently at a gas station and there were people going around talking up a new product that is “taking the nation by storm”. They had a white plastic bottle with a green powder in it. It appears to be a fuel additive that can increase your MPG ( miles per gallon) and over all vehicle performance. The people talking about this product were relating their personal experiences. From what I gather this soccer mom gained 10 miles per gallon with her mini van and an increase in acceleration as well. The other guy was singing the same tune with different results, but just as good.

Intrigued

I must admit I was intrigued, I was a but aggravated because it seems here in America we seem to be about stretching everything instead of conserving. Recycled paper, cans, cardboard. I have to turn in a

car part to be re-manufactured or pay a core charge at the parts store. Has the thought ever came to mind to use less, make less, find better solutions other then stretching what we have? However, I became interested in knowing more. Standing at the pump I asked a few more questions, I was told how this product has been seen on ABC Good Morning America, NBC & CBS News. Then she starting talking price and/or free samples.

Over My shoulder

I will admit it was a weird at a gas station chatting with someone I did not know about a product I had never heard of. I was glancing over my shoulder to see if there was a camera somewhere. I really thought about buying some or at least trying a sample. I watched as the two of them made their way around to a few other cars and tucks. Someone tried some, they seemed Ok with the experience. I just held off this time, maybe next time. It has been a few weeks since I saw them last, I drive by stations on my way each day. I have found myself looking for them, wishing them well. If I see them again, I think I will step out of my box and buy some.....maybe.
