Eco-friendly Cars

The savior for our planet is finally here.

There are many eco-friendly cars. There are hybrids, bio-diesel, and ethanol cars. There are also cars that are not eco-friendly such as regular fuel cars. As for non eco-friendly cars they release CO2 into the atmosphere which is really bad for our future. If this continues to happen then global warming will increase and many other determined events may happen. Although the choices are limited in hybrids and many other eco-friendly cars, the market is still developing. Soon enough there will be many designs for eco-friendly cars. If you're planning to by a car then by a car that is good for the ecosystem.

Cars that use regular fuel or gasoline let out a gas (not a fuel) that is not so good for the ecosystem. This gas is not a type of fuel but instead a state of matter. That gas is called carbon dioxide. This is the main reason why car companies are making cars that won't harm the planet. As for CO2 (carbon dioxide), it is a gas at room temperature or higher. If too much is inhaled it can cause a stinging sensation in the nose and the mouth. CO2 is much better than what would be released into the air if there was no aluminum in the exhaust pipe. The gas is much more deadly to the planet and any living organism. That gas is called Carbon Monoxide. When this gas is inhaled too much then it can affect your nervous system and your heart. Also this gas can cause death. So having CO2 in the air is much better than CO (carbon monoxide.)

The first eco-friendly cars on the list are hybrids. Many people know about hybrids, but don't know what the main purposes of these cars are. The first thing that is great about these cars is that they don't pollute the ecosystem so much, but just a little, and are great for our future. Another great thing about these cars is that they give great mileage. The EPA estimates that hybrids give 60 mpg in the city and 51 mpg on the highway. Also hybrids are designed to look like everyday cars and not some car from another planet.

The next on the list are bio-diesel cars. Bio-diesel is a blend of regular diesel fuel and vegetable oil. So whenever you take your car for a ride it will smell like vegetable oil. The main thing that people don't know of bio-diesel is that any diesel engine out there is capable of using bio-diesel. Another thing that is important is that you can switch back and forth between diesel and bio-diesel if you have to. Although bio-diesel is a little bit more expensive than diesel and significantly expensive than gasoline, bio-diesel gives more mileage and also lasts longer. In 2008 you can expect to see more manufactures offering diesel cars, even cars like Mercedes.

The last and final cars on the list are ethanol cars. Ethanol is a corn, wheat, or barley-based fuel. One most popular kind of ethanol fuel is E85 which is 85% corn oil and 15% gasoline. The great thing about an ethanol engine is that it allows you to switch between regular fuel and bio-diesel. There are also many great designs to choose from. These cars do not look like junk yard cars, but instead look like mainstream vehicles.

Car companies are still developing safer and more eco-friendly cars. Saving the planet is as easy as buying an eco-friendly car. So if you are planning to save the planet, then choose to buy one of these types of cars.
