I have found a good product. It's made by Turtle Wax. It's a spray-on liquid wax that is used between regular waxings. It is designed to create a wet look shine and to give an additional coat of protection. It is very easy to use. A whole lot easied then the paste wax used for regular waxing.
I washed my car the other day and right after I finished I got a phone call to go out to dinner with my parents. I left my car parked under an oak tree which I shouldn't have done. When I returned it was covered with small leaves and those little brown things that fall from some oaks. It has d water spots all over it from the washing. It looked awful and I figured I would have to was it again.
Before I decided that I was going to rewash it I decided to see what this liquid wax would do. I wiped all the leaves and brown things off and proceeded to try the wax. I shook it well as directed and then sprayed some on the hood. Just a small spot so I could see what was going to happen.
After I smeared it around a little I took a dry cloth and buffed it dry. Took very little effort and dried quickly. I was amazed! There in the center of all the water spots and the brown marks was a gorgeously clean spot that shined like mad. No water spots and no brown marks. I decided to do the entire hood and see what it looked like.
When I stepped back to look all I saw was this beautiful shine. The car actually looked wet but I knew it wasn't. I could see myself in the shine. My car is a lava red which, if you do not know, is a mixture of red and burnt orange. It's a pretty color if you like red. The wax had not just produced a gorgeous shine but it made the color really pop. Turtla wax makes a top quality product in my book anyway. It holds true for the spray wax also.
I waxed the hood, the top, and the back before I ran out of daylight. I knew I would have to finish it the next day. I wondered if it were going to make a difference in the way it looked. I knew I would get some over spray from the wax and I wondered if I would have to redo the entire car. I waxed both sides and stood back to look. Everything was bright and shiny and I had no reason to redo what I had already done.
I had noticed a few water spots on the hood, from dew that had fallen through the night. I took the buffing cloth and ran over the area and with no pressure at all the spots came away. I am very pleased with the ease of use with this product. Am more then pleased with the results. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. It's not a bad deal either. You get a pretty big spray bottle for around $4.00. With my small car I should get quite a few usages out of it.
I used old cloth baby diapers for my rags. Old baby diapers are one of the best clothes to use when waxing or cleaning windows. They are soft enough not to scratch and leave no lint behind. They are washable so they are reusable. They last for what seems like forever. I've been using mine for six years now and they have plenty of use left.
Try the liquid Turtle Wax and enjoy the look of a beautiful shine on your car. Enjoy and have great days.
