The first one I will talk about is the Arc Welder. First is safety. You need to be wearing a proper welding mask to protect your eyes. To strike an arc you need to swipe the rod on the metal to get the flux lit at a 15 degree angle. Then to make your bead, you move your hand slowly in a circular motion to make that perfect bead.
I haven't even used the wire welder yet but I know how to use it. You put the wire close to the metal and pull the trigger to feed the wire to the metal and make your beads the same way as the arc. Use the welding mast.
The next one we use is the oxyacetylene torch, witch is really fun. First you turn on the acetylene, just a crack then ignite it with the flint. When you have a flame, turn up the acetylene until you have a clear flame, with no smoke. You then turn on your valve to start the oxygen. You get the flame where you want it and start cutting.
Out of all of these, I think I like the arc welder the most. With all of these, you need to be protected. Not just your eyes, but your hands too. You need to be wearing thick, flexible gloves which help from the heat. Always assume that the metal is hot.
