Over the years I have been very interested in attending college at James Madison. My goal is to continue my education by getting accepted into the nursing program at James Madison. I want to fulfill my dream of helping people. I have always been a kind and loving person by nature, and by becoming a nurse, I feel I can bring many qualities to the lives I will touch. I have a great love of children and elders, and helping them would fill my life and heart with much satisfaction. Even when I was young, I always found time to contribute locally by picking up trash, visiting nursing homes, and making and delivering fruit baskets to elders.
In addition, many young people at this time have begun to move away from their hometowns after college, but my plans are to return to my local community to help the members there. Meadows of Dan is a small community that doesn't even have stoplights, and you have to drive about 20 minutes to get to the high school and the grocery store, but nothing would mean more to me than bringing the knowledge that I gain at James Madison back home to Meadows of Dan and using it to increase the quality of the lives of people there. In addition, I'm very dedicated to my family and being a nurse in Meadows of Dan would allow me to remain close to them, which is very important to me.
My experiences at James Madison University will not only be meaningful to me, but will also be meaningful to the people in my community. The help and mentoring of the reputable faculty and the exposure to new people from Virginia, other states, and even other countries, will help develop me into a well-rounded and knowledgeable individual, which will in turn help me contribute back to the community that I grew up in and dearly love. Last, but not least, these experiences will help me fulfill my lifelong dream of helping people. Thank you for your time and consideration.
