Make the Most of Your Writing Skills and Three Websites That Will Help You Do It

If you like to write, then chances are you want to know if you're any good at it. Who better to ask than a bunch of random strangers?

Really, think about it, if you're just getting started on writing and you truly think you have something there, chances are you're going to want to ask someone you trust, such as your best friend, parent, sibling, or spouse. But sometimes, you aren't going to get a true answer from them because they don't want to hurt your feelings. But a stranger wouldn't have that problem.

You may never have to talk to that stranger again, or you may establish cyber communication that can be cut off immediately. There's nothing personal in showing them your work as they have no incentive to give you anything but a realistic, truthful answer, whereas if you were to tell your wife that the short story she worked so hard on is basically just a bunch of unintelligible gibberish, problems may arise.

In some cases, people who are total strangers will still feel the need to lie and trash your work unnecessarily. Don't worry about that too much, because these sites are tested and found to be user friendly. Thick skin not necessary!

So, let's take a look at these sites, shall we?

First up, we have the one and only triond.com!

This is a great website to try out if you're more of a novice writer because there is plenty of incentive to write well and write often. This site actually pays you for the things you create, and you still get to keep full rights to your writes. It's pretty simple: the more you write, the more you make.

Next up, the wonderful world of allpoetry.com

This site is just full of interesting, nice people who truly want to read your poetry and have you read theirs. The site is set up so that you can immediately start posting your poetry, which is copyrighted in your name the moment it's published. You can enter and host contests, and there is even a section to take special Allpoetry classes! What you're left with is an amazing social and learning experience that will forever change the way you write.

And my personal favorite, storywrite.com

This is actually the sister site of allpoetry, which means once you create an account on either, you automatically get one on the opposite one. While allpoetry is for mainly poetry, storywrite is simply a short story/chapter-by-chapter site. The people are friendly and helpful as ever, and classes are offered on this site as well. It's truely helpful for all upcoming writers.

And the best part about all three sites? They're all completely FREE! So what are you waiting for? A world you never would have imagined awaits.
