Help Yourself by Helping Other Triond Writers

Growing as a writer in Triond is a challenge, and the best way we have to reach the goal, is helping each other.

When I first got to Triond just some weeks ago, I thought that Triond was some sort of competition among writers, and the goal was the Hot Users spot. However, a week ago I had an experience that changed my opinion and the way I see Triond.

I have a couple articles about depression, and although I always had daily few visits in each of them, one day I was shocked to see in my content page that I had more than a hundred visits from midnight to six in the morning in one of these articles. I didn't understand because the article was kind of old, and I didn't make anything else to promote it, so, I went to Healthmad page to investigate. An article about depression from another writer had dozens of “I Like It”, and that's when I understood that my articles that approached the same topic were also receiving visits because the subject was related.

In that moment I really got the Triond spirit. There is no competition; we are just writers who want to get published and earn some money, and the Hot Users spot is only a bonus. I realized that the answer is in the Triond system. If writers write good articles, the Internet traffic will be directed to Triond, and once the visitor is already in Triond, he may want to visit other articles in the topic and might find others get interested. Maybe your article is not the one in the Hot Users Spot, or even the one that the lured the visitor, but may be the one next to it, which may draw the visitor's attention.

Following that principle, I thought of some tips that may help the Triond writers in gathering visits, and who knows, maybe strengthen the bond among all of us.

When you leave a comment to a fellow Triond writer, he has a chance to improve his writing. Promoting your articles is important. I doubled the number of visits in my articles after bookmarking them, and who writes to Triond knows that every bit counts, but that is not all.

Once again, this tip is about Internet traffic. If you see an article from a fellow Triond writer that you liked, you should bookmark it. If an article receives more opinions in “Digg”, for example, it is likely for it to be more visited, and that's how you are going to be directing traffic to Triond. Once in Triond, the visitor may want to see more, and that's when every Triond writer benefits.
