Week 2: New Artists

The second week of my article on new artists.

Hello dear readers,

Last week I wrote an article about new and upcoming artists. I included, Automatic Loveletter, Secondhand Serenade, Hidden in Plain View, Katy Perry, and Love She Wrote. I hope you enjoyed the article, it can be found here, Week One:http://www.musicouch.com/Genres/Rock/Artists-of-the-Week-Week-One.266801

This week I will choose five more new artists, and put another video from one of the artists, for your enjoyment.

First up there is the band, The Scene Aesthetic. I do not know a whole lot about these guys, because I just found them on YouTube a few days ago. However, I fell in love with their song: Beauty in the Breakdown. Another great song of theirs is The Alamo is No Place For Dancing. Eric and Andrew are the two members of this very talented band. They are from Seattle, Washington.

Then there is the Rocket Summer. Originally from Texas is another fantastic one man band. Bryce Avery is the front man who plays all the instruments in the studio, and he just has an amazing voice. My favorite songs from Bryce that you may enjoy are: So Much Love, Taken Aback, and Waiting.

Next is the Eli Young Band. A fairly new country band, but they are modern country. These guys are from Texas as well. Their song When it Rains is one of my favorite songs out there. I can relate with the lyrics, which were written by the band. They have a lot of great songs on their Jet Black and Jealous album. Everyone should check these guys out!

Emma Mae Jacobs is a very new country artist. She is from Nashville, Tennessee. It is hard to believe she is only 17 years old. She has so much talent at a young age, I think she will go far with her music. Her first song What if we fly is inspirational. However, her song With You is the one that got me interested in her music. With you is a love song, about feeling that when you are with that special person you feel right. “With you, all my fears are gone. It’s like I’ve loved you all along. You’re a mirror to my soul,” is just part of the chorus.

Then finally, The Sick Puppies. What can I say about them? They are just awesome rockers all the way. They are from Sydney, Australia originally. Pitiful, Cancer, and All The Same are just a few of their amazing songs. They rock hard but are not just noise like some bands out there these days. They are well worth checking out if you have not heard them yet.

So, with all of that said, these are artists that I think you may enjoy. Here is the video that I chose for this week. Enjoy!

Excellent, I'm always looking for new music and bands to listen to. You wrote this like a true appreciator of music. It's direct and presents the facts clearly. Michael

Go the Eli Young Band. I've been a fan of theirs for years. Even if your against the country scene, their rock attitude could turn a skyscraper into a cornfield. A great review!
