Number Three

Three is the greatest number.

Number three. The third number of the counting system that we are using nowadays. It is also the number with the greatest number of phenomena that we do not normally notice.

To prove this point, let us consider the world of dimensions. A meter signifies length, a square meter is an area, and a cubic meter is a volume or otherwise known as space. The logic stops when a cubic meter is again raised to obtain a quadratic meter.

Another thing is the root extraction of a polynomial. When a polynomial reaches a degree of three, an exact root is methodically impossible. Three can compute the three main trigonometric functions manually if and only when the angle is divisible by three. See?

More mathematical three vitalities occur in nature. This is maybe due to the fact that the world uses base 10 as the standard system in the quantitative aspect of its nature. The question is, do all this phenomena be resolved if we will use base three in return?

Outside mathematics, number three is indeed very special. Its best example is the Holy Trinity and the Holy Family. An atom consists of three parts-proton, neutron, and electron-that compose the building blocks of matter. The three kings, three stooges, three musketeers, three little pigs, and the three blind mice do share their own threes. Three-cky, isn't it?

Did you count the primary colors, the levels of our formal education, and the number of times we eat everyday? Check our country's history, how many foreign invaders colonized our country and how many EDSA People Power Revolution did we have? Now, tell me, how many times you used and encountered titles, phrases, and sentences, such as I love you, I hate you, Just for you, God loves you, Beware of Dogs, and Rest in Peace. Music and comedy trios like the TLC, Allure, Bee Gees, and the Apo Hiking Society; and movie and television trilogies like X-Files, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings come in threes.

According to the Holy Bible, there are three Christian virtues that we should possess: faith, hope, and charity. Charity means love. Love alone is related to hundreds of three. For example, a love triangle composed of three parties and the third one is the villain of the first two. The third may be a male or a female but not of the third sex.

We live in a simple, satisfying, and appropriate world coupled with strings of threes. But according to psychics, the third world war will be the cause of destruction of the third planet in the solar system. What a way to end the air, land, and water of our beloved planet (This article was written with Leonardo A. Lanante).

The statement about solving polynomical equations is incorrect. Cardano's formula gives the roots of a degree 3 polynomial. It is when we reach a general polynomial of degree 5 that the extraction of ``exact'' roots is methodically, as well as theoretically, impossible.

Wow! I never noticed or realized all of those until I read your article, sir. Indeed, the power of the number three is unbelievable. Even in my group of friends, we also come in three’s. Also, the elesi of the electric fan, the biggest island of our country and even the shot that mostly wins basketball games come in three. What an amazing number it is! I never thought that most of the things we know has something to do with number three. I love this article sir. Two thumbs up!

I was laughing until the very last sentence. I didn't notice that, to be honest. It's very amusing! Especially the encountered phrases, which are actually the most important phrases to be said. I noticed as well that if we say more that those three words in the phrases, it would not be sincere. I like this post!

That was one shocking article sir. Have you watched the movie "Number 23"? Your article and the movie is somewhat related in terms of the 'theme', sir. In the movie it tackled how number 23 changed a life of the protagonist. Anyways, that was one astonishing article, sir. Cheers!

This article is so amusing. I haven't noticed that until I read this article. Now I know that number three is so fantastic. Just like what my friend always say, "Number three is such a great number. It always brings luck to my life."

Wow, sir! I only noticed after reading this article that the number three really is everywhere! It's so amazing, yet weird. It's like in this movie that I watched, The Number 23, just like what Vicson said. The number drove the guy mad, because it was starting to govern his life. Creepy, huh? Anyway, another nice article!
