Density Problems

Some math problems involving the calculation of density.

(M)ass/(V)olume=(D)ensity

  1. Calculate D for each

    • M = 7.2g , V = 3cm sq
    • M = 5200 kg ; V = 2m
    • M = 6300 g , V = 9ml

  2. Calculate D

    • V = 10cm sq , M = 193g
    • V = 10cm sq , M = 105g

  3. A sample has a Mass of 35000kg and a Volume of 4m sq. what is the Density of this sample.

  4. A stone is put at the bottom of a cup, 35 ml of water is added, and the water level goes to 50ml mark . if Density is 3g/ml, what is the total mass of the stone.

  5. A bar of soap with measurements 10cm, 5cm , 3 cm , has a Mass of 120g, find out the Density of the soap.

Good questions, but volume is measured in cm cubed (lxwxh), not cm squared.
