The Emo Effect
Rebellion has always been apart of life in children and adults, however children would rebel on what we would call insignificant things such as rules at home and in school. But now we have the Emo cult among us. For many this simply means emotional music, lots of make up and eccentric hair cuts. A percentage of teenagers simply go through the motions in order to fit in with the crowd, however every so often you will find a group of true Emos.
These groups take the idea of the Emo crowd too far causing their worlds to crumble, harming not only those around them but hurting their selves mentally, emotionally and physically. In some cases cuts, scares and bad home lives are worn as trophies. The more trophies an Emo has the more popular they are. This in turn causes competition which spreads dramatically through the Emo world. In turn this game begins to engulf many of those who deep down at heart never wanted to play in the first place. Those who quote a game can be a dangerous thing, have no idea just how correct they are.
The Emo game is a sure path to destruction which many of us had no idea about, as the media only lets us see what is the 1st base, the music, make up and hair cuts. In many respects it may be a good thing as no matter what anyone says, media influences everyone and we would not want more to be influenced by the Emo effect, but these issues should be dealt with in order to save those in danger.
Lives should be lived with happiness if not all the time at least with happiness spread around, not hidden on purpose to win popularity contest, which in a hundred years no one will care about.
Instead of the Emo cult which worships death, pain and heartache, there should be a new idea of life to sweep across the world which includes the idea that happiness is the true trophy of life.
