Teens should be able to vote. People think that we are to immature to know what we want and who we want. They don't realize that we young adults have people that we want to vote for too. We are legal citizens of the United States also. Why can't we vote? Teens are just as smart as intelligent in political elections as adults are. Maybe not all, but over 50% of us are. I watch political elections on T.V. and want to vote for somebody who seems the most likely to do the best for America. I cannot though why, because I am not old enough. Many teens ruin for us acting stupid drinking, driving, and stuff like that.
They kill themselves. Not all teens are like that though. I doubt any of those alcoholics are going to want to come vote for something like a president. I think the government should not judge people on their age but on the maturity level. I am very mature that is why I am in all honors classes. I realize that not all teens are mature and that is the only side the government is looking at. Look at the teens who want to vote and cant because people like the drunk drivers are ruining it for us. I cannot believe though that people drink and drive. That is so immature. I would love to be able to vote but the thing is that I am not old enough. I am mature enough but the government does not go on maturity rate they go on age. This needs to be changed.
