Now, who's a fashion monster out there? Who likes to dress up in the latest styles? Who likes to be unique? Well, I can tell you, having to where the same shirt and pants as everyone else everyday of the year is not very unique, is it? Now, the only reasons for uniforms is this: so people do not dress in inappropriate clothes. And all I have to say for this is: less than a quarter of students in, say, a high school, actually dress in wrong clothing. But the rest of us have to get punished too? That really doesn't seem fair at all. Getting to wear the latest in styles is the only good reason for school itself. Without that, there's no point of school at all, unless you really wanna be rich and have a good job.
Here some cons of school uniforms:
- they are tacky
- they are not stylish
- they only come in one colour
- people rebel against principals and other high authorities because of these uniforms
- they do not let us show our true style
- some of us can only concentrate and feel confident if we are wearing good clothes
Now just for the people who actually believe uniforms are the best idea since cellphones, here are some pros of uniforms:
- they do prevent inappropriate clothes form being worn at school
- the skirts are pretty mini and short
That's a small amount of pros for all those cons there. Uniforms, for a lack of a better word, ruins our sense of style and uniqueness. Which is why I believe uniforms should be banished ofr life. Don't you agree?
