Should Cellphones Be Allowed in School?

Should students be denied a basic right to communication? There are various arguments for and against. Make your decision!

Cellphones should be allowed in school. This is for three main reasons: firstly, they can be used in emergency situations. Secondly, they are a means of communication between family and friends. Thirdly, they usually come with helpful extra features.

In dangerous or emergency situations, such as a fire or a shooting, cell phones are an extremely efficient way of contacting emergency medical services or the police. This can result in lives being saved and help being available.

Cellphones are also a means of communication between people. They keep them connected. For example, if a student needed to ask their parents for permission to go to a friend's house, a cellphone would be a fast way of doing so.

Many cellphones come with extra features such as music players or cameras. These features can be very useful in classroom situations. For example, a student could take reference photographs of a still life or play background music in a play.

In conclusion, cellphones should be allowed in school. They are efficient and effective for students when used correctly.
