Some teens have too realize that when you go on the internet, that you are kind of putting yourself out there, especially if its in a chat room. You should never ever give or post any information about yourself that you would not want a stranger too know about you. If you are in a chat room and someone tries to aggressively know you, than be careful. Don’t ever give your location or real name. Even if you have talked to a person online for a year, don’t ever do it. Predators are smart and they’ll take they’re time trying to gain people’s trust and try to get locations of where the teens are. Just because someone online is saying who they are, it does not mean that is who they actually are. Never plan on meeting anyone offline at all unless you really want too, than you should bring an adult. Most of the time if you meet, it usually does not work out good and if they take you to another country, sometimes the laws are different and it will be hard for you to be found. So play it smart.
