So how old is old enough? Well you have to be 18 to smoke, 21 to drink and 17 to join the military. So it kind of doesn’t make sense. If someone is old enough to go to war and risk their life, why can’t they drink booze? You can be 18 and be a stripper at a bar but you can’t drink. So how old is old enough? I would say 18 should be the age you can have all the freedom. Not all 21 year olds are any more mature than a 18 or 19 year old. Sometimes people don’t grow up till they are 30!! Almost daily in the news, you read about how 20 and 19 year olds are dying in war, so why not let them do other things. Also how old is old enough for sex? I think 18 again. There are way too many cases of stds and hiv. If you are old enough to deal with the effects of war, than you are old enough to handle anything. You can be 14 to work but you can be 16 to drop out of high school. It doesn’t make any sense and I don’t think it is going to change any time soon. I also think they should raise the age to get into the adult industry because an 18 year old who just turned 18 does not know any better than a 17 year old.
