Fun Dates for Teens

Dating possibilities for teens and the best types of dates for those in high school.

All dates should be fun when you are in high school. If it does not sound like a fun date when you are asked, decline the invitation. A date should never be an adventure in self-torture.

Most high school dates should either be group dates or dates that involve an activity with plenty of other people like going to a school function. This does two things. It keeps the date from becoming too serious before it should. By being in a group or around a group, it assures that if your date is a problem, you have others around to still provide a fun time.

If you do not mind sports, any high school ball game should provide some fun and entertainment. Choose other school or church related activities that contain some measure of interest to you. If you cannot be part of a larger group, shoot for double dating. This still gives you extra people to raise the likelihood of fun. Even if you do not have fun on the date, if you like your partner, you will have plenty to talk about and make fun of after the date.

Bowling still makes for a fun date for most high school teens. It has physical activity and is relatively cheap. This means that you can stretch your cash to have a burger or pizza along with the bowling. Most teens are not great bowlers. This means that you will not be embarrassed by rolling balls into the gutter or by a low score. It also tends to have several silly things happen during a game that adds to the fun.

Movies that are not too adult in nature continue to rate high in the fun meter for teens. If you can get the right timing, movies can be inexpensive for a couple. Going as a group will give you more people to share memories of the evening with later.

Miniature golf can be a good activity for a date. Usually this is better for a first date. It gives plenty of time to talk, but requires enough attention to offset lapses in the conversation. It is not physically challenging. This means anyone can enjoy it.

The zoo is always a fun place. Making fun of animals can be very entertaining. The sights, sounds, and smells of the zoo will keep the conversation running. When you are tired of walking, you can end the activity which means that you are not locked into definite amount of time. It can be extended or shortened to fit your desire. For quieter teens, just a nice long walk through a park can make for a great date, and it is usually free.
